Only when we're brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinate power of our light.

Brene Brown

Project-Respectt, Inc. was born out of profound personal tragedy and an intimate understanding of systemic community violence. Our founder established the organization in direct response to the devastating loss of her 20-year-old brother "Fagafaga Mulipola" , who was killed by a gang member over a dispute regarding "respect" at a friend’s home. Just three months later, she herself survived being shot in a random drive-by shooting within her community of Long Beach. Having walked through the darkest corridors of sudden loss, trauma, and survival, we are no strangers to violence. Project-Respectt is our vehicle to guide others through the complex grief process associated with homicide, turning unimaginable pain into a beacon of hope and healing for marginalized communities.

Lost my brother to a senseless murder over "Respect"

My name is Easther Mulipola. My life has not merely been affected by violence; it has been shaped by it. I have witnessed domestic violence, lost my brother to gang violence and became a victim of gun violence.
